Aramco Services Company in Houston celebrates Prince Sultan bin Salman
  • ​14 American give back Saudi artifacts

His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, President of SCTA last night attended a reception and a dinner that Aramco Services Company held in Houston, Texas, USA on the occasion of his visit to the city for the opening of the exhibition, " Roads of Arabia – Saudi Archeological Masterpieces through the Ages" as its third station in the United States, hosted by the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (MFAH). 

 
The President of Aramco Services Company, Nabil Amody spoke in the ceremony welcoming the visit of HRH Sultan bin Salman, noting the efforts of the SCTA in the detection of the monuments and ancient heritage of the kingdom.


Following that the Vice President of Saudi Aramco for Downstream, Abdul Rahman Al-Wuhaib in a speech he expressed pride in the contribution of Saudi Aramco in the care of the exhibition, drawing attention to the trade relations that portrayed in the exhibition representing strong relations between the Kingdom and the various countries of the world in the modern era.


He noted the interest of HRH Prince Sultan bin Salman and his vision of the role of heritage and monuments in the history of the Kingdom confirming the cultural and historical links with other civilizations as a crossroads of ancient trade between the continents.


Then HRH Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz  in his speech he expressed his thanks to the Mayor of Houston,  Anis Parker and former Mayor, Bill White and guests of the ceremony.


HRH expressed his appreciation for the contribution of Saudi Aramco in the support of the exhibition.


HRH Prince Sultan bin Salman pointed out that the exhibition reveals a new dimension to the Kingdom being the land of the Islamic holy sites in addition to its political, economic and global exporter of petroleum energy.


HRH praised the relations between the Kingdom and the United States of America, saying, “It’s a relationships based on respect, common interests and values.”


HRH drew attention that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the sponsor of the ancient cultural heritage of Islam culminating in civilization that started from the ground of Islamic holy sites around the world.


Prince Sultan bin Salman remembered his memoirs of Houston during the period of his training as a pilot and during the period of training for his space flight. HRH Expressed greetings and thanks to the coaches of Air Force and the Agency for Space Research, who participated in the ceremony, describing the period as a great experience.


At the conclusion of the ceremony, HRH Prince Sultan bin Salman and the Mayor of Houston, Anis Parker honored 14 Americans who have previously worked in the Kingdom and have recently returned back their possessions of artifacts and relics to the Kingdom as a gesture of cooperation with the SCTA, and SCTA accorded certificates of appreciation and token of gifts on this occasion.
