SCTA’s Awards
Success and achievements made by the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA), since its formation, in a near vacuum, has come to it as a result of performance, perseverance and hard work of some persons in laying out a solid foundation that would stimulate the development of strong tourism sector in the Kingdom.
After eight years of the implementation of the general strategy for the development of national tourism, SCTA has made significant progress. It launched several key initiatives designed to stimulate the growth of the tourism sector in accordance with systematic, organized and effective methodologies adopted by it.
During the journey of eight years of achievements and initiatives, SCTA encountered many challenges and obstacles that could impede the development of tourism in the kingdom, and those imposed a number of conditions in its progress. In spite of this foreboding scenario, there were people, engaged in tourism surged forward with positive determination. They stepped ahead of other for a bright future amid optimism adopting several key initiatives with the hopes to make a quantum difference in investment in major tourism destinations and the development of Antiquities and Museum sector. Thus, winning awards was natural for them, as a tangible evidence to their successful performance and brilliant journey towards their set goals. Following is a breif list of those acolades.
