An emphasis is placed by the Kingdom on the development of domestic tourism. Also it is enshrined in the ‘general strategy for tourism’ for the development of sustainable national tourism, which asserts the importance of youth as an integral part of the society, both as a tourist and its functionary.  The Commission since its inception has sought to develop the youth tourism pattern through a variety of programs and actions. In its pursuit, it entered into memorandum of cooperation with the General Presidency for Youth Welfare, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Higher Education. With this, SCTA achieved remarkable success in the development of job opportunities for the Saudi youth, as well as encouraging him to take up inland tourism, and to participate in the tourism activities or join the tourism sector actively.
